The Wikimedia Technology Summit (WTS) is back for its third iteration, aiming to foster a more inclusive Wikimedia ecosystem. This year's focus is on leveraging technology to bridge the gap between marginalized communities, languages, and the vast knowledge base of Wikimedia projects.
The summit brings together WikiClub students, researchers, technologists, community members, and stakeholders to tackle these challenges and advance the Wikimedia movement's shared goals.
By working together, the WTS 2024 aims to strengthen the technical infrastructure of Wikimedia projects and ensure everyone has equitable access to the world's knowledge.
We'll explore solutions to integrate marginalized communities and languages, fostering wider participation from geographically diverse Wikimedia communities.
Delve into the latest advancements in Wiki technology that can improve access to knowledge across various languages.
We'll discuss strategies to increase technical participation, both from students and existing Wikipedians.
