Aim of The Event
Our hackathon's objective is to bring together and collaborate with the numerous programmers working on Indian Wikimedia projects. We intend to deliberate, create tools, and collaborate on MediaWiki, current initiatives, and technical fields. The technical community will now have a chance to strengthen our relationship with the general public. Please be aware that the hackathon won't be emphasising the development of new skills, and it is expected that applications will have some expertise or knowledge relating to technical aspects of the Wikipedia movement.
About The Event
On March 2, 2023, as a part of the second Wikipedia Technology Summit, we will hold a Mini Hackathon. The event will be held at IIIT Hyderabad. The goal of this year's Wikipedia Hackathon is to bring together individuals who have already made technical contributions to open-source or Wikimedia projects, who are familiar with the technical ecosystem, and who can work or cooperate on projects largely independently. The Hackathon brings together international Open-source developers, code writers, maintainers, translators, and designers who work on Mediawiki.
